This weekend break was organsied by Val in conjunction with TXX Promotions. The event took place over the weekend 26th-28th February 2010 at Bournemouth International Hotel. Some 60+ line dancers arrived at the hotel on the Friday afternoon, most coming on a coach. The weekend consisted of a Request Night on the Friday and a full Line Dance Social on the Saturday evening. There were also day time dance classes and a trip to Weymouth on the Saturday afternoon. The weather was surprisingly good for the time of year, and although not hot, we did at least have a weekend of sunny weather. Thanks must go to all of you who attended for making this such a wonderful 15th Anniversary event for Bluevelvet linedancers. The decorations provided for the ballroom, the quiz, and the willingness of the dancers to enjoy themselves made this a very memorial weekend for me. I must add my thanks to Beverly Busolini and Kath Botta for all their help and preparation for this weekend. The hotel were very helpful in setting up our dance arrangements and dealing with any questions from its residents. A special thanks also to singer Dave Whitmore who provided us with live singing for the Saturday Social which provided us with that extra "feel good" factor. A final thanks is also in order to Marta from TXX Promotions who was on site a number of times to ensure that all was well. Thank you everyone for making this weekend so special.
